PURPOSE: A refrigerator evaporator is provided, in which tubes and fins are made up of a plastic material, to thereby reduce weight and manufacturing cost, while obtaining an improved heat transfer effect. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator evaporator comprises a heat exchanger where a plurality of tubes(34) and fins(31) are arranged into an S-shape; a first header/refrigerant storage tank(35) for arranging a refrigerant inlet tube(33) and a refrigerant outlet tube(39) of the tube of the heat exchanger to a first bending portion where the tube of the heat exchanger is bent, and which separates refrigerant discharged through the refrigerant outlet tube and supplies the stored refrigerant to the refrigerant inlet tube in accordance with the ambient temperature; a second header(32) for supporting a second bending portion where the extrusion tube of the heat exchanger is bent; a sheath heater tube(37) for removing the frost or ice formed around the heat exchanger; and brackets(36a,36b) for connecting the sheath heater tube to the first header/refrigerant storage tank and the second header, respectively. The heat exchanger, first header/refrigerant storage tank and the second header are formed into a single unit made up of a plastic material through an extrusion or injection molding method.
