PURPOSE: An armrest is provided to support an arm of a driver in travelling and to adjust an angle according to a steering angle in travelling. CONSTITUTION: An armrest comprises a bearing housing(5) fixed on a backrest(4); a shaft pin(6) fixing a rink(7) formed of W shape; rollers(8) mounted on lower portions of the link; a front and rear double cam installed on a cam driving shaft(9); elevating grooves(4a) formed on both sides of the back rest; and a hinge(11) adjusting the armrest. The front and rear double cam is contacted to a peripheral face of the roller so that the link moves based on the shaft pin. The armrest is installed on the backrest or a seat of a vehicle to adjust an angle of the armrest fixed on the hinge of the elevating piece. If a steering angle is changed in cornering, a centrifugal force is generated in opposition to the steering angle. Then, weight of a driver is delivered to the armrest connected to the link fixed by the shaft pin. Moreover, the armrest is connected to the elevating piece elevating on the elevating guide. Thereby, the armrest disperses the weight of the driver and supports an arm of the driver by elevating to prevent an accident in cornering.
