PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buckle device capable of detecting whether a tongue plate inserted into a case is locked or not with high reliability. SOLUTION: An MRE sensor 118 detects the change of the direction of the magnetic field of a magnet 116 fluctuated when the magnetic plate 72 of a leg section 68 moved together with a tongue plate 36 inserted into the case 12 of this buckle device 10 is brought into contact with or separated from the magnet 116 of a sensing section 112.
