PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an inappropriate ink bottle with no positioning projection from being erroneously inserted and to prevent an ink bottle from being erroneously inserted under a different rotating position. SOLUTION: In a device for inserting an ink bottle 100 into a bottle inserting room 3 wherein a projected guiding channel 4 extending in the bottle inserting room 3 and in the bottle inserting direction is provided on a bottle mounting body 2 and the ink bottle 100 is inserted into the bottle inserting room 3 under a condition where a positioning projection 103 of the ink bottle 100 is positioned to the projected guiding channel 4, an ink bottle erroneous insertion preventing mechanism 6 comprises a detecting lever 9 being freely movable between a projected position projecting into the projected guiding channel 4 and a retreated position retreating thereinto and being energized to the projected position side, a sliding member 12 which can be freely slid in the bottle inserting and discharging directions and is energized in the bottle discharging direction and whose sliding is obstructed at the projected position of the detecting lever 9 and is allowed at the retreated position of the detecting lever 9, and a bottle stopper part 14 fixed on the sliding member 12 and projecting into the bottle inserting room 3.
