PEROXIDE-GROUP-CONTAINING POLYAMIDE AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peroxide-group-containing polyamide having a free-radical activity effective for synthesizing a polyamide-vinyl polymer block copolymer and a method for producing the polyamide. SOLUTION: This peroxide-group-containing polyamide contains units derived from a polyamide having at least one amino group and a number average mol.wt. of 500-40,000 and units derived from a peroxide-group-containing carboxylic halide and is produced by the polycondensation of a polyamide having at least one amino group and a number average mol.wt. of 500-40,000 and a peroxide-group-containing carboxylic halide in the presence or absence of water and/or an alcohol in at least one solvent selected from among phenolic solvents and inorganic halide-containing amide solvents.
