PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate for efficiently producing medicines, for example, nucleic acid antiviral agent and the like. SOLUTION: The objective sulfated nucleoside derivative is represented by general formula (I) [wherein R1 and R6 are each independently from each other H, a 1-18C alkyl, a 1-20C acyl, a 7-25C aralkyl or a 3-21C substituted silyl group; as for R2, R3, R4 and R5, either R3 or R4 is a hydroxyl group and the other is -OSO3M, when R2 and R5 are each simultaneously H wherein M is H, an alkali metal atom or a quaternary ammonium ion represented by R7R8R9R10N+ wherein R7-R10 represents independently from each other H, a 1-8C alkyl, a 6-12C aryl or a 7-25C aralkyl].
