PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical printer head that can form a clear image even when the orientation of the head is varied by virtue of a vibration or the like during the operation of the printer. SOLUTION: There is disclosed the optical printer head wherein a rod lens array 4 is provided on a substrate 2 having multiple light emitting elements 3 arranged in a line and a pair of reference pins 6, 6 are disposed at both sides of the rod lens array 4 in the longitudinal direction being in roughly parallel with the optical axis of the rod lens array 4. Each of the top ends of the pair of reference pins 6, 6 is extended to a position having a height roughly equal to a focus position of the rod lens array 4.
