<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device enabling an air bag to maintain the internal pressure of a fixed value or above for a prescribed time after inflation by suppressing the coated quantity of a coating material. SOLUTION: This air bag is folded and stored in a vehicle to be developed and inflated by the inflow of the inflation gas from an inflator, it is formed by hollow weaving at the average value of 49-50 of warps and wefts per one square inch, and the coating material 25 made of silicone rubber is applied to prevent a gas leakage from meshes. The peak internal pressure of this air bag near the expansion completion is set in response to the coated weight of the coating material to 70 kPa or above at the coated weight in the range of 80-155 g/m2 in the left region including the values on a straight line based on the straight line expressed by equation Y=5X/2-100 (wherein, X in the peak internal pressure (kPa) in an XY coordinate system, and Y is the coated weight (g/m2)).</p> |
