PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket mounting mechanism on a mirror base for a vehicle capable of preventing the gasket from falling off from the mirror base even if external force is exerted on the periphery of gasket in a direction separating from the mirror base during transportation. SOLUTION: In a gasket mounting mechanism on a mirror base for a vehicle is provided with a mirror base 20 on which a mirror body 21 of a door mirror 19 is mounted, and a gasket 22 provided with a ring-shaped flange 22a which is arranged at the mounting side of the mirror base 20 on the vehicle and is engaged on the mirror base 20 at the outer surface of the periphery, a hook inserting hole 27 is defined at inner side from the periphery of the gasket 22, and a locking hook 25 which lock holds the gasket 22 while being inserted into the hook inserting hole 27 is extended from the gasket 22 side face of the mirror base 20.
