PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a camera improving forward visibility from a driver side of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The camera (2) is forward-facingly installed on the roof (1) of the vehicle, while a monitor (3) is installed at the position of a dashboard (4) at a driver side, a room mirror (5), or a sun visor (6). When forward visibility is transmitted from the roof of the vehicle to the monitor, it provides the driver the visibility as though he (she) drives with his (her) head sticking out of the roof of the vehicle and sees forward over the roof of the car in front. Thus, construction in front or a car making a right-hand turn can be recognized earlier so that a lane change can be made earlier, which allows the driver to drive with leeway.
