PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dephosphorization device for a septic tank, which is a phosphorus adsorption vessel of an underground installation type similar to the type of the septic tank and has a phosphorus adsorbent within and in which replacement work of the phosphorus adsorbent and the device maintenance work can easily be performed and also, backwash of the adsorbent can sufficiently be performed. SOLUTION: This dephosphorization device for the septic tank is a phosphorus adsorption vessel which is a column type vessel packed with a phosphorus adsorbent and installed inside the septic tank main body in an attachable/ detachable manner. Also, in the septic tank main body, a backwash water vessel for temporarily storing treated water discharged from the phosphorus adsorption vessel after phosphorus adsorption treatment in the phosphorus adsorption vessel, as backwash water for the adsorbent, is placed. In this backwash water vessel, a backwash pump whose delivery port is communicated with the bottom of the phosphorus adsorption vessel through a backwash pipeline provided with a check valve and an air escape valve, is disposed.
