PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that grain culms wetted with morning dew or rain affect threshing works to cause the generation of hulled rice, the clogging of a second treating cylinder and the failure of dust discharging, because the wet grain culms conation water, even when water drops are removed from the surfaces of the grain culms wetted with the morning dew or the rain by use of he dew-removing device. SOLUTION: An engine 3 mounted on a combine harvester 2 equipped with a dew-removing device 1 is decelerated in conjunction with the driving of the dew-removing device 1 to reduce the rotation of a threshing cylinder 4. When the rotation of the threshing cylinder 4 is reduced, a second treating cylinder 5 is accelerated at least in an extent which makes it possible to maintain the rotation rate of the second treating cylinder 5 at a degree before the engine is decelerated. In addition, a cross flow fan 6 is accelerated in connection to the driving of the dew-removing device 1.
