<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate such physical distribution planning with detailed transportation cost reflected as constructing a large-scale physical distribution network of transportation from a supplier to a factory and conforming to the purpose of a user, by automatically computing the number of vehicles required for the transportation and the travel distance of the vehicles. SOLUTION: Preliminary to a selection between direct transportation from suppliers to a factory and transportation via intermediate bases and to a selection of the intermediate base that each supplier uses, a registration is first made for basic data, such as the locations of the factory, suppliers and intermediate bases and the traffic volumes from the suppliers to the factory, and for targets, such as the number and travel distances of vehicles and the number of opened relay bases, and physical, distribution is then planned in conformance to evaluation conditions according to the targets. The evaluation conditions, to which the number of vehicles required for the transportation and the travel distances of the vehicles are added, can provide detailed cost grasping.</p> |
