PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a high charged potential and a high sensitivity as electrophotographic characteristics and capable of exhibiting stable performances without changing various characteristics even when repetitively used and to obtain a phthalocyanine composition used in the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: This phthalocyanine composition is obtained by treating a titanyloxyphthalocyanine and a metal-free phthalocyanine converted into an amorphous sate by carrying out an acid paste treatment with a lactonic solvent in the phthalocyanine composition comprising the titanyloxyphthalocyanine and the metal-free phthalocynine.
