PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an on-vehicle working machine in which an elongating/ shringking boom 6 is stored in a storage space between a cabin 2 of a vehicle 1 and a cargo section 3, with its tip directed downward, from being damaged by preventing the boom 6 from touching the cabin 2 or a guard frame 3a of a loading space. SOLUTION: This controller comprises a boom interferrence angle detection means 30 which detects that a boom 6 has an angle not more than a hoisting angle causing such a danger that an elongating/shringking boom 6 interfers a cabin 2 or a guard frame 3a of a loading space 3, a falling drive control means (controller) 28 which controls that a hoisting cylinder 8 is driven to its falling side according to a detection signal of the means 30, and a restriction releasing means 31 which releases operation of the means (controller) 28.
