APPARATUS FOR MACHINING OUTER PERIPHERY OF MATERIAL WOOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for machining the outer periphery of material wood which enables reduction of the power for rotating the material wood when the outer periphery of the wood is shaven partially with the wood rotated around the center of turning. SOLUTION: A first cutter 57 rotating counterclockwise and a second cutter 67 rotating clockwise are disposed opposite to each other with a machining spindle 51 between them. While the material wood is rotated by the spindle 51 around the center of turning, the outer periphery of the wood is machined with the amount of movement in the X1 direction of the first cutter 57 and the amount of movement in the X2 direction of the second cutter 67 being controlled.
