<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sheets from being damaged by assuring the alignment of a sheet bundle delivered to a delivery tray for sorting 26 regardless of whether the sheet bundle is stapled or not. SOLUTION: This finisher 2 of a copying machine 100 comprises a receiving member 38 for receiving sheets carried into a sheet receiving table 20, an endless belt 44 moving a sheet bundle stocked in the receiving member 38 to a delivery tray for sorting 26, a delivery path for sorting 22, a pair of delivery rollers for sorting 24 including a driven roller 24a and a follower roller 24b, a pressing device pressing the follower roller 24b against the driven roller 24a, and a stapler 46. The pressing device further comprises a first compressive coiled spring 56 for always pressing the follower roller 24b against the driven roller 24a, a second compressive coiled spring 58 capable of pressing the follower roller 24b against the driven roller 24a in association with the first compressive coiled spring 56, and a pressing means for selectively pressing the second compressive coiled spring 58.</p> |
