STRUCTURE OF FORCEPS BRANCHING PART OF ENDOSCOPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a forceps port branching part of an endoscope having good operability to allow the easy insertion of forceps from either the right or left direction. SOLUTION: A base end 301 of a branching case 302 in the outermost part of the forceps port branching part 300 is connected to a clamping case 202 and its front end is connected via an O-ring 304 to a cylindrical body 102. The branching part front end of the forceps port branching part 300 opens and constitutes a forceps insertion port 308. A forceps port branching channel 306 of the forceps port branching part 300 is connected on nearly the central axis of a proximal end 101 of the insertion section 100 and the forceps port branching part 300 of the insertion section 100. A supporting body 310 and branching case 302 constituting a juncture 330 is integrally and freely turnable around the central axis and the forceps port branching part 300 is turnable around the central axis. As the forceps port branching part 300 turns, the direction of the forceps insertion port 308 changes and may be inclined in both of the right and left directions.
