PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter device for removing impurities in a fluid and a method for removing the impurities by filtering. SOLUTION: The filter device includes a housing, a full flow (1st) filter housed in the housing, a bypass (2nd) filter and a conduit housing a pressure reducing zone. The housing and the 1st filter are arranged to pass the whole filtration flow through the 1st filter. The 1st filter, the 2nd filter and the conduit are placed in the housing to position the 2nd filter on the downstream from the 1st filter, the pressure reducing zone is arranged to generate the pressure difference on the whole surface of the 2nd filter and a prescribed filtration fluid part is passed through the bypass filter. The fluid is introduced into the filter device including the 1st filter and the 2nd filter, 10% of the fluid is filtered in the 1st filter to generate the pressure difference on the whole surface of the 2nd filter, and the prescribed fluid part filtered in the 1st filter is drawn through the 2nd filter to filter the prescribed fluid part twice.
