PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stick-like cosmetic material extending container improv ing the stability of the size of a holding tube by eliminating the influence of withdrawal caused by a conventional projected part to the utmost at the time of allowing the holding tube holding a stick-like cosmetic material to engage in multiple lines of spiral grooves. SOLUTION: Inside the main body of a tubular container 15 having multiple- line spiral grooves 14 in the inner surface, a guide tube 13 having a guide slit 17 in the direction of a tube stem C is provided rotatably, and a holding tube 12 holding a stick-like cosmetic material 10 inside the guide tube 13 is provided movably in the direction of the tube stem C. The holding tube 12 is made to engage in the multiple-line spiral grooves 14 of the main body of the container 15 through the guide slit 17 of the guide tube 13, and the main body of the container 15 and the guide tube 13 are relatively rotated. Thereby, the holding tube 12 is guided to the guide slit 17 to be moved in the direction of the tube stem C, and a rib 16 that has the thinness equivalent to the groove width of the multiple-line spiral grooves 14 and engages in anyone of the multiple-line spiral grooves 14 through the guide slit 17 is integrally formed to project on the outer surface of the holding tube 12. In such a way, the device is constituted.
