PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect the discharge of a paper sheet by means of a single discharge sensor for every bin in a multi-bin unit capable of discharging paper sheets putting them in a plurality of bins. SOLUTION: In the case where when an image is formed in a preset image forming mode, a plurality of paper sheets are laid to on each other on the optical path of a beam L, a main controller 17 forms images in the order to inverse of the order in printing requirement to make two image forming instructions conforming to the operation indication of each section of a device, and the image are converted into job data to be transferred to A4 size paper sheets P(I1) and P(I2). The sub-controller 18 having received the former job data fixingly transfers images 12 and 11 to the paper sheets P(I2) and P(I1) while forming the images 12 and 11 on an intermediate transferring belt 41 in this order, and besides, carries them to the multi-bin unit 3. This procedure avoids the paper sheets P(I1) and P(I2) from lying on each other on the optical path of the beam L.
