PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airship for improving controllability without increasing weight and without enlarging the hull. SOLUTION: This airship 1 for ascanding and descending by variably controlling the volume of levitation gas in an air-sac 10 formed of the hull skin 11a is provided with a suction fan 32 for sucking and pressurizing outside air in a pressurizing chamber 15 from an air intake port 31 by arranging the hollow pressurizing chamber 15 arranged under the air-sac 11 via a partition wall 13, a starboard front air gate 34a, a port front air gate 34b, a starboard rear air gate 35a and a port rear air gate 35b respectively blowing out pressurized air in the pressurizing chamber 15 to the left and right of a front part and a rear part of the pressurizing chamber 15, freely openable-closable and variable in the blowout direction.
