PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device of a pickup on the ground of an automatic train stopping device capable of restraining erroneous detection. SOLUTION: A pilot signal of a prescribed frequency and a signal of a spectrum flat up to the prescribed frequency are impressed on a transmission coil 5T of a pickup from a multiple frequency signal generator 1. The pilot signal is extracted from voltage induced to a receiving coil 5R of the pickup by electromagnetic induction of a receiving coil 5R of the pickup and a coil of the pickup 6 on the ground to detect a level change in the extracted pilot signal on the basis of a distance between the pickup 6 on the ground and pickup 5 to correct a level of the voltage induced to the receiving coil 5R of the pickup 5 on the basis of the level change in the pilot signal to discriminate the fact of monotonously increasing and monotonously reducing in the prescribed number of measuring date sandwiching a resonance frequency of the pickup on the ground from a discrete spectrum obtained by performing Fourier transform on the induced voltage of the receiving coil 5R of the level-corrected pickup 5 by a Fourier transform operation circuit 12C to be used as the measuring data from the pickup 6 on the ground.
