PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front treating portion-lifting device in a combine harvester which lowers the liftable or lowerable front treating portion to reap grain culms in a paddy field and carry the reaped grain culms to the side of a threshing portion and automatically lifts the front treating portion, when a travel frame is backward moved. SOLUTION: An interlocking means for automatically lifting a front treating portion 4 in interlock with the operation of a speed charge lever 11 for backward moving a travel frame 1 is disposed on the lifting device side of the front treating portion 4 which is liftably disposed in the combine harvester and reaps grain culms, and a lifting speed control device for increasing a lifting rate per unit time on the basis of a passage time from the lifting start time of the front treating portion 4 is also disposed.
