PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for wrapping laver around a riceball in which a laver sheet can efficiently be wrapped around the riceball. SOLUTION: This method for wrapping laver around a riceball comprises the following processes: a riceball-transferring process where the riceball 1 intermittently rotated by a transport conveyor 2 is transferred onto a riceball- raising board 3d; a laver sheetconveying process where the layer sheet 10 having a nearly beltlike shape is transferred in its cross direction to the upper part of the riceball 1 on the board 3d; a laver sheet-folding process where the laver sheet 10 is folded so as to go from the top side of the riceball 1 along the right and left sides by pushing up the riceball 1 with the board 3d and pushing the riceball 1 into the receiving hole 7 of an intermittently rotating turntable 6; and a laver sheet end-folding process where both ends 10a and 10b of the laver sheet 10 are folded onto the underside of the riceball 1 in the turntable hole 7. |
