PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dustproof device for a cooling fan for an elevator winding-up motor, which can prevent intrusion of dust into the inside of a fan from an air inlet effectively. SOLUTION: On the outside of an air inlet 9 of a cooling fan 6 mounted to a winding-up machine motor 2 that drives a mina rope 4, a first cover 10 that covers the inlet 9 with a space is fixed by means of a double-surface tape 8. On the outside of the first cover 10, a second cover 12 is mounted so as to be demountable, and a filter 14 is interposed between the first cover 10 and the second cover 12.
