PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a danger judging device for a vehicle capable of judging the danger of contact with a peripheral approaching object accurately at a low cost. SOLUTION: An information collecting means 22a-1 collects the information changed according to the road structure around the vehicle. Upon receiving a plurality of photographed images of different monitor regions, a selecting means 22a-2 selects the photographed image of a region requiring monitoring among a plurality of images based on the information. An approaching degree detecting means 22a-3 processes the selected image to detect the approaching degree of the approaching object. A danger judging means 22a-4 judges the danger of contact with the approaching object based on the approaching degree.
