PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a night cover mounting structure for a flat-type open showcase capable of easily covering the upper-surface opening part of the open showcase almost regardless of the size of the open showcase and easily attaching and detaching the night cover. SOLUTION: As the upper-surface opening part of the showcase 1 is covered only by gripping a handle H, drawing out a sheet material 12 from inside a housing case 13, and fastening a fastening device 11 to a top cover P at the upper end part of the other opposing windshield 8, it is possible to cover the upper-surface opening part easily regardless of the size of the showcase 1. As the night cover is detachably mounted to the inside surface of the windshield 7 or 8 from above, there is no problem in taking out merchandise during business hours. It is possible to remove the night cover easily without using screw, tools, or the like when it is not necessary.
