In a real-image finder, an objective optical system forms a real image and a reflecting member has a surface that reflects light from the objective optical system. A transmissive prism that transmits light from the reflecting member has an incident surface on which a light beam from the reflecting member is nearly perpendicularly incident and an emergent surface at an angle to the incident surface. The light from the transmissive prism is incident on an incident surface of a reflecting prism placed close to the emergent surface of the transmissive prism. A reflecting surface of the reflecting prism reflects light from the reflecting surface so that the light reflected from the reflecting surface is totally reflected by the reflecting prism incident surface. An eyepiece optical system guides the light from the reflecting prism to an observer.
