摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new treating technology by which sludge or the like containing a solid waste material obtained from a waste liquid containing heavy metals of a washing waste liquid formed in an electrodeposition coating process is easily solidified, the heavy metals are enclosed in the solidified product in such a manner that even a small amount of the enclosed heavy metals cannot be re-eluted forever and secondary environmental pollution can be inhibited and which enables the production of the solidified product which can be used as a secondary product. SOLUTION: The method for recovering a heavy metal-based waste material as a resource is characterized in that sodium silicate (Na2SiO3), calcium chloride (CaCl2), sodium carbonate (Na2CO3), potassium sulfate (K2SO4), calcium sulfate (CaSO4), iron sulfide (FeS) and/or sodium sulfate (Na2SO4) are added as a solidifying agent to a waste material containing heavy metals generated by treating a waste liquid discharged from the electrodeposition coating process and the resulting mixture is stirred to solidify the waste material. It is possible to add portland cement as a component of the solidifying agent.
