PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly secure the brake pedal stroke even in the case where the communication of a master cylinder with all wheel cylinders is cut during the liquid pressure control by an automatic pressurizing means. SOLUTION: Brake liquid pressure of a wheel cylinder (Wfr) is controlled by controlling an automatic pressurizing means (a vacuum booster VB and a booster switching solenoid SB) for generating the brake liquid pressure from a master cylinder MC while driving a master piston forward independently of the operation of a brake pedal BP, a hydraulic pump (HP1), a normally open solenoid valve (PC1) and a normally closed solenoid valve (PC5). During this control, the forward driven quantity of the master piston by the automatic pressurizing means when all the normally open solenoid valves are closed is set larger than the forward driven quantity of the master piston by the automatic pressurizing means when any one of the normally open solenoid valves is opened.
