<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning pig which can surely recover metallic foreign matter which occupies the major part of the fine foreign matter which can not be removed by the conventional cleaning pig. SOLUTION: When fluid flows in a pipeline 1, the flow is caught by a scraper cup 4 and, thereby, thrust is generated on the cleaning pig 2, which is moved forward. Large foreign matter is pushed to the scraper cup 4 in front of the scraper cup 4 and carried together with the cleaning pig 2. This means is provided with magnets 5 and, therefore, even when fine foreign matter of magnetic body not satisfactorily picked up by the scraper cup 4 exists, the fine foreign matter is adsorbed to the magnets 5 and is carried together with the cleaning pig 2. Thus, the cleaning pig shown in this embodiment is suitable for the recovery of rust scrap, etc., particularly in a steel pipeline.</p> |
