PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an absorbent for carbonic acid gas with which carbonic acid gas in an exhaust gas from a combusting device for hydrocarbons can be directly separated and recovered at a high temperature with low energy consumption and high efficiency. SOLUTION: Lithium zirconate having a lower optimum absorption temperature than lithium silicate is dispersed in lithium silicate to widen the range of the optimum absorption temperature of the absorbent as a whole.
