PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding bed provided with a reclining mechanism in which the reclining mechanism and the metal frame thereof cannot be seen from the outside and which has such a good external appearance as not to be found before. SOLUTION: In the folding bed 1, leg bodies 4 are attached to the undersides of mat bodies 2, 3, and each leg body 4 is located at one of the opposite sides of each of the mat bodies 2, 3, while the other side of each of the bodies 2, 3 is mounted on an intermediate support leg 5 to allow the mat bodies 2, 3 to be folded. In the mat body 2, an electrically-driven reclining mechanism 14 is provided to turn up and down a backrest 2a of the body 2. A storing space 15 is formed in the mat body 2 so as to surround the mechanism 14.
