PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method for a ferritic stainless steel sheet excelllent in press workability to an Nb-containing ferritic stainless steel sheet by finish annealing. SOLUTION: In the producing method for a ferritic stainless steel sheet in which a ferritic stainless cold rolled steel sheet containing 14.0 to 20.0% Cr and 0.40 to 0.50% Nb is subjected to finish annealing, the finish annealing is performed under the conditions in which the heat treatment index Ith defined by the following formula (1) satisfies the following inequality (2): Ith=(Ts+273)×(177+log(tss))...(1), and Ith>=((Nb+0.05)/2)×105...(2), wherein T: the maximum arrival sheet temperature ( deg.C), tss: holding time (sec) of >=800 deg.C, and the base of log is 10.
