PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control attitude change of a car body by suppressing nose dive at a brake operation, and to prevent reduction in a riding comfortability or a driving stability as a vehicle while insuring an essential working as a shock absorber. SOLUTION: A compressive action of an inner tube 2 and an outer tube 3 is suppressed to control the amount of nose dive by supporting the end of a suspension spring 13 mounted between the inner tube 2 and the outer tube 3 with a hydraulically-operated press member 14, supplying a pressure oil corresponding to a brake operating pressure for a front wheel to the press member 14 in parallel with an operation of a brake lever 17, and increasing an initial load while compressing the suspension spring 13 with the press member 14.
