PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new TOPK protein and a DNA encoding the same obtained by a PCR subtraction method using a cDNA obtained from an activated mLT positive T-LAK cell as a sense. SOLUTION: The invention relates a protein produced by a membrane-bound lymphotoxin (mLT)-positive cell (T-LAKmLT-positive cell) of a Lymphokine- activated T-killer cell (T-LAK cell) and having a motif of a Serine/Threonine kinase, in particular, the TOPK protein. The invention also relates a DNA encoding the protein of the invention and the DNA includes a DNA having a base sequence shown by the sequence number 1 or 2 in the sequence table (refer to the specification) or a base sequence hybridizable to a DNA having the base sequence. Furthermore, the invention relates a pharmaceutical composition containing the protein and an antibody to the protein.
