PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purifier for effectively removing a chlorine component in city water at a low running cost, by changing the chlorine ion component which has hitherto been difficult to remove only by entrainment with air bubbles to high volatile free chlorine to effectively remove it from city water by a subsequent generation of air bubbles without using an expensive filter in a filter type water purifier. SOLUTION: A pair of electrodes 7 and 8 are arranged to interpose city water, and a power source 11 for applying voltage on both the electrodes is provided. Further, an air bubble generation means 4 is provided for generating air bubbles in city water kept in an electric field between the electrodes.
