PURPOSE: A fluid heating apparatus is provided to prevent external cold air from entering and prevent heat of hot water in a water tank from being radiated outside. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger(2) is arranged in a water tank(1). The heat exchanger has an outer drum(3) including a dual wall. The outer drum has an upper combustion gas distribution chamber(5) and a lower combustion gas distribution chamber(11) formed to the upper and lower parts of the dual wall, and has a combustion gas-lower air current chamber formed between the upper and lower combustion gas distribution chambers. An inner drum(4) has a combustion chamber and is positioned in the space of the outer drum. An upper communication pipe(7), communicating with the inside of the water tank through the outer drum, is connected to the upper part of a partitioned water chamber. A lower communication pipe(8) is arranged to the lower part of the partitioned water chamber. A draft pipe is arranged to the upper part of the partitioned water chamber. An exhaust pipe(12) opened to the outside of the water tank is disposed to the lower part of the outer drum. A combustion support cylinder, projected to the outside of the water tank through the outer drum and the partitioned water chamber, is disposed to a combustor support cylinder.
