<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste gas detoxifying device for efficiently removing and detoxifying harmful materials in waste gas by using molten glass. SOLUTION: The harmful materials in the waste gas 5 are surely and efficiently removed by allowing the waste gas 5 to uniformly contact with the molten glass 8 in a wide contact area and also over a long period of time, by providing a slit 2 stretching in a longitudinal direction at the bottom of a glass melting tank 1 having a shape long in the lateral direction, uniformly mixing the waste gas 5 supplied to an supply chamber 7 through many fine holes 10 in the molten glass 8 falling in a curtain like form from the slit 2 and allowing many fine bubbles 16 of the waste gas 5 to fall into a storage tank 9 while allowing the bubbles to contact with the molten glass, and moreover, sinking the bubbles 16 in the storage tank 9 by the force of the falling and then floating.</p> |
