PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet type electric dust collecting apparatus capable of being protected from dissolution loss owing to electrolytic corrosion of dust collecting plates by preventing or suppressing the spark between a joining member for joining the dust collecting plates of dust collecting electrodes and an electric discharge electrode. SOLUTION: An insulating material 133 for electrically insulating a joining tool 13 and dust collecting plates 10 is installed in the joining member 13 for joining side end parts of the dust collecting plates 10 one another.
