PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic exhibiting sufficient luminescent effects, excellent in a so-called design at a dark place and having high light resistance and bleeding resistance without spoiling an essential purpose of the cosmetic even at a bright place. SOLUTION: This cosmetic comprises a colored powder obtained by carrying out a prescribed surface treatment to a colored material prepared by making a powder of nylon or silk absorb a water-soluble tar coloring matter containing at least one of monosodium salt of 9-(4'-sulfo-2'-sulfoniumphenyl)-6- diethylamino-3-(N,N-diethylimino)-3-isoxanthene and trisodium salt of 1- hydroxy-3,6,8-pyrenetrisulfonic acid.
