PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a plate spring for pressing a roller shaft to an earth line to remove static electricity from a carrying roller device or a guide plate in a sheet carrying device such an ADF. SOLUTION: In a paper carrying device arranging a carrying roller device and sliding a sheet to a guide plate 31 of a carrying passage, a pinch roller 24a arranged in a fixed frame 30 is pressed from the back with a pressing part 63 of a press spring 62. The press spring 62 is electrically connected to a static electricity removing brush member 65 to liberate static electricity charged in a roller to an earth.
