PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an Sb-low content glass, which can decrease foams and ash defect at the same time. SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing an Sb-low content glass in which the Sb-low content glass of Sb2O3: 0.03-0.25% is obtained by melting a raw material and thereafter by making the time when the molten glass G is in a state having a viscosity of <=1,000 poises and a pressure of <=(atmospheric pressure - 0.5 atm), equal to or longer than 0.1 hr in a vacuum defoaming tank 10.
