PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent waste of a recording medium by preventing direct touch on a recording surface by finger tips or the like before completion of charging in setting recording sheets as recording mediums into a tray on the device side. SOLUTION: Recording sheets S are packaged in a stacked condition, and a protective sheet H is put on the recording sheet S at the uppermost stack position for preventing direct touch on a recording surface by finger tips or the like before completion of work of taking them out of the package, and charging them into a tray on the device side with the recording surface upward.
