A friction tier sheet (10) for use as a separator when stacking articles (15) has a sheet-like substrate (11) and a friction lining (14) attached thereto. The substrate (11) and the friction lining (14) are made of materials having different coefficients of friction. The substrate (11) has recesses (12) distributed across its large faces (13), in which recesses the friction lining (14) is arranged and from which it preferably projects. The substrate (11) is made of a thermoplastic material and the friction lining (14) is made of a thermoplastic elastomeric material.
