1. A cyclopentenone derivative represented by the following formula [I] or a racemate or simple antipode thereof. wherein R1 and R2 are same or different and each of them is straight or branched alkyl group, containing not more than 13 carbon atoms, straight or branched alkenyl group, containing not more than 13 carbon atoms, phenyl group or phenyl-aliphatic group with a proviso that the case where R1=R2=-CH3 is excluded. 2. A pharmaceutical agent which is characterised in containing as an effective component at least one cyclopentenone derivative according to Claim 1. 3. A pharmaceutical agent according to Claim 2 which the agent is an anticancer agent. 4. A pharmaceutical agent according to Claim 2 which the agent is an apoptosis-inducing agent. 5. A pharmaceutical agent according to Claim 2 which the agent is an antibacterial agent. 6. A method for the manufacture of a cyclopentenone derivative represented by the formula [II]: wherein R3 and R4 are same or different and each of them is straight or branched alkyl group, containing not more than 13 carbon atoms, straight or branched alkenyl group, containing not more than 13 carbon atoms, phenyl group or phenyl-aliphatic group, characterized in that, 4,5-dihydroxy-2-cyclopenten-1-one represented by the following formula [III]: and/or an optically active derivative thereof are/is made to react simultaneously or successively with a carboxylic acid and/or a reactive derivative thereof corresponding to R3 and R4 of the cyclopentenone derivative represented by the formula [II]. 7. A pharmaceutical agent which is characterised in containing as an effective component at least one compound selected from the cyclopentenone derivative, obtained by the method according to Claim 6, or an optically active substance or a salt thereof. 8. A pharmaceutical agent according to Claim 7 which the agent is an anticancer agent. 9. A pharmaceutical agent according to Claim 7 which the agent is an apoptosis-inducing agent. 10. A pharmaceutical agent according to Claim 7 which the agent is an antibacterial agent. |
