<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start picking work from any rack, any commodity storage zone or any commodity, and accommodate an easy and quick data rewrite upon a change, if any, in the position or volume of commodity storage. SOLUTION: Commodity storage zones S are set in every shelf board in a group of commodity racks in the unit of each rack R or shelf board B, and a shelf tag P provided with a location mark and a code representing the mark in data form is prepared for and fixed to each commodity storage zone and the location mark and code of each shelf tag are set in a computer. Data on the effective volumes and distances of the commodity storage zones are set in the computer. Each item is assigned with the commodity storage zones where a given number of commodities of the item are stored. The number of occupied commodity storage zones, the number of stored commodities, one shelf tag code representing the occupied storage zones, and the item code of the stored commodities are linked together for each item.</p> |
