PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vibration actuator that has a pressurizing form that can effectively utilize the amplitude of a vibrator. SOLUTION: In this vibration actuator, a vibrator 1 that has a hollow disk shape and excites a different vibration mode in the same surface, a support member 6 that supports the vibrator, and a relative movement member 2 that relatively moves to the vibrator are provided. The relative movement member 2 is relatively moved to the vibrator 1 by energy obtained by the vibration of the vibrator 1. A pressing member 5 that is provided on the side surface of the vibrator 1 at a side opposite to a part where the relative movement member 2 is brought into contact with the vibrator 1, and pressurizes the vibrator in a direction that is in parallel with a surface where a vibration mode occurs is additionally provided. At the same time, the support member 6 cab be moved in a direction to be pressurized, and the vibrator 1 is supported by the hollow part of the vibrator 1. |
