PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component mounting method where whether a sucking nozzle is attached is detected surely and an appropriate maintenance time for a filter is inferred. SOLUTION: An electronic component is vacuum-sucked, and picked up with a sucking nozzle 11 attached detachably to an attaching part of a transfer head 9a, and mounted on a substrate. Here, a vacuum sensor 16 is connected to a pipe path 9b between the attaching part of the suction nozzle 11 and a vacuum-suction source 14 for measuring the vacuum degree, and the measurement result is compared to a reference data to determined whether the sucking nozzle 11 is attached. Clogging of a filter 17 inserted in the pipe path 9b is determined to report a periodical maintenance time. Thus, using a simple method, the state of suction nozzle 11 being attached as well as clogging of the filter 17 are determined. |
